Professional Response

Our engineers all undergo rigorous induction training at our head office. They are all qualified or studying towards the prestigious NVQ Level II award in stairlift installation and servicing. The engineer’s fully equipped vans enable them to respond quickly and efficiently ready with serviceable parts.

All employers have a legal obligation to ensure that their operatives are competent in the skills they practice during the course of their work. To this end, all Freelift engineers have completed, or are in the process of completing, the industry’s National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Stairlift Installation or Service /Repair.

NVQs recognise people’s practical skills at work, rather than relying totally on knowledge gained through academic study. Our engineers become qualified by the continual assessment of their work-based competence by qualified and experienced Assessor-Engineers, whilst working under supervision. This continues until all aspects of the qualification have been met. This evidence of competence is then externally validated leading to the final award of the NVQ.
