The sales process
Once we receive your order and deposit, we may need to arrange for our surveyor to re-visit you and carry out the final survey so that we can start manufacture of your curved stairlift. This is not necessary for a straight stairlift, as we keep these in stock. Prior to installation, where required, our subcontractor will arrange to come and fit a power supply or carry out any necessary joinery work, as recommended in our quotation. Our Customer Services office will contact you regarding a convenient date for the installation of your stairlift. Straight stairlifts can usually be installed within 5-10 working days. Curved stairlifts are a tailor-made, bespoke product and therefore take longer to manufacture. Installation is usually within 20-30 working days.
Freelift’s own fully trained engineers make the stairlift installation simple, clean and quick (usually less than half a day). The stairlift is fitted to the treads of the staircase and not to the wall, so there is no need to re-decorate. Once fitted, our engineer will explain how to use the stairlift, and run through a thorough demonstration with the user and any family/friends who are present.
